Editorial correspondence relating to works by Walter Strachan

This series consists of correspondence Strachan carried out with publishers of his books or articles, and relates to the practicalities of editing and printing, as well as distribution and sales of the works. Some of his major full-length original works and translations are represented, as are further projects he proposed or drafted but which were not ultimately published. Some of the files also contain related papers such as publicity material, notes made by Strachan, synopses of works, royalty statements and other documents.

The material has been divided into two main groupings: editorial correspondence relating to books; and editorial correspondence relating to articles and poems which appeared in journals or magazines.

There is some overlap with the correspondence listed at WJS/2/6, and material listed here should be looked at in conjunction with that section of the catalogue.
