Administrative / Biographical History
Richard Moorsom was a political economist. Educated in South Africa and the UK, Moorsom completed an MA at the University of Sussex on the political economy of Namibia. In the early 1980s he was a consultant to UNIDO on industrial policy for Namibia after Independence, whose report came out in 1984 and whose findings were included by Moorsom in his report on potential Norwegian-Namibian industrial cooperation, Namibia's Economy at Independence (Bergen, 1990). He was also the author of The Scope for Sanctions, Economic Measures against South Africa (London, 1986).
