Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The Youth Club was held in what is now Ysgol Iolo Morgannwg, Broadway, Cowbridge and operated twice weekly. The leader of the youth club was Mr Prosser who was assisted by his wife and Dena Williams. The club focussed on educational classes for the first hour with music and dancing for the second hour. In 1957 some of the young people went on a trip to Sorrento, Italy. The trip was quite expensive so not all of the young people could afford to go. A newspaper cutting tells us that it was planned for the group to visit Gracie Fields but due to a misunderstanding they did not meet her.
