Hailey Austin was given these comics via her boyfriend. She chose to donate them because they are a part of local Dundee history as well as a children's comics collection from the 1980s/1990s. Many of the Farthing Wood comics have the name McFarlane on them, one has the name Craig McFarlane. Hailey deposited the comics with the Archive.

Ewan discovered these comics c2008 in a house he bought in Coupar Angus and saved them for a few years. The comics were left alongside every Goosebumps book. When cleaning out his house, he gave the comics to Hailey, his son's girlfriend, as she was doing a PhD in comics.
