Letter from Sir James Mc Grigor to Dr. Thomson. Confirms having transmitted the official sanction to Dr. Booth. Regrets theb unfavourable account of the illness of Dr. Thomson's son. Admires the readiness with which Dr. Thomson has changed his opinion, 'with regard to the nature of the Epidemic which prevails in Edinburgh.' Enquires as top progress on the Life of Cullen and whether Dr. Thomson has seen, 'the new work of W. Charmicheal of Dublin on the syphillitic question.' London, 15th September 1818.
