COMMEMORATIVE SCRAPBOOKS

The scrapbooks are designed to present "a record in time", reflecting the place and the lives of the local community. Each scrapbook contains a month by month account of local events, including reports of local activities, both within the W.I. and the community; newspaper cuttings; historical accounts; photographs and illustrations; reports of local births, marriages and deaths; and economic developments (the opening and closing of local businesses, the development of New York Cottages etc.).
