Scope and Content

Horton-cum-Studley is situated 9 miles north east of Oxford. The parish was formerly a chapelry of Beckley until 1880.

The records were originally deposited in the Bodleian Library by Rev A. D. A. De Vere, vicar of Horton-cum-Studley in 1981. The material was then transferred to the Oxfordshire History Centre. Further records were deposited as Acc 4386 in August 1998.

A conspectus of new and old references is included at the end of this catalogue. Catalogued by Alison Smith, April 2013.
