Scope and Content

Ella Burra was a playwright active at the beginning of the 20th century. Her archive includes correspondence and photographs, with letters from Lilian Braithwaite, W Graham Browne, Amy Coleridge, Madge Kendal, Athene Seyler, Madge Titheradge, Norman Forbes and Grace Lane, many of whom worked in the companies of Herbert Beerbohm Tree and Sir Henry Irving. This archive forms part of the Women's Theatre Collection.

Ella Burra was a female playwright active at the beginning of the 20th century. Her plays included Betty, The Tenth Point and Audacity Ltd. She spent much of her life in the Bristol area.
