John Williams Manuscripts

Three documents :

An account book of particulars of building work and renovations in connection with property at Llandygai, Aber Ogwen and Hirael etc. belonging to the Penrhyn estate, 1821-1822.

A transcript made by John Williams of a translation of The history of the Gwydir family by Sir John Wynn. Translation written by William Williams, Llandygai.

An early 18th century book of Welsh poetry - cywyddau. The copier is unknown although several names appear on the first and last pages. Includes works by Tudur Aled, Sion Tudur, Dafydd Nanmor and many others.

No biographical information was available regarding John Williams of Penlan, Llandygai at time of compilation of description.
