Scope and Content

Miscellaneous antiquarian notes (historical, ecclesiastical, architectural, heraldic); a number of pen-and-ink drawings are included. Both volumes are in the hand of Dorothy Richardson, as follows: 

  • Vol. 1 (Eng MS 1127). 253 pp. (of which 196-253 are blank). The front fly-leaf is signed Doro. Richardson, 1789, underneath which, in a 19th century hand, is the signature Eleanor Roundell;
  • Vol. 2 (Eng MS 1128). 275 pp. (of which 76-275 are blank). Signed inside the front cover: Eleanor Roundell.
