Welfare Meeting Minutes - Executive Office of Mr Anthony Bull

Minutes of meeting numbers 352 to 398. Meetings were held every second Thursday and were chaired by Mr Antony Bull with J K Harding as the Secretary. Subjects include: schemes for new and improved staff accommodation and amenities, including canteens and recreation rooms; welfare and catering matters including specific topics such as Athol Street proposed new canteen, Sports Ground progress report, canteen and hostel working accounts, permanent way cabin, Hillingdon, Lillie Bridge Depot reconstruction, grant for Hotelympia Catering Exhibition, Hemel Hempstead Garage Recreation Room. Meeting 398 was the last Welfare Meeting which was held in the same form as its predecessors owing to the reorganisation of the work of the Welfare Department. It is noted in the final minutes that the first ever Welfare Meeting took place on 20 November 1940.
