Scope and Content

The album contains two photographs of the interior of the Gallery and numerous photographs of paintings in the collection. The back of the album includes several photographs of paintings at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Gallery's own Photographic Department developed after the First World War. Prior to that individual photographers applied for permission to visit the Gallery in order to photograph the paintings. There is no record of any such application by W.W. Perkins and efforts to trace him as a photographer have failed.

Arrangement

The album has been listed to file level.
