Hook Norton is located in the north of Oxfordshire, a few miles north-east of Chipping Norton and close to the Cotswold Hills. The parish church is St Peter's.
Most of the parish records were originally deposited at the Bodleian Library in 1978 and 1981 by G.M. Hooper, Rector of Hook Norton. Further records were deposited in 1988 (accession 2748).
