Miscellaneous file of writings and correspondence of Anthony Gishford:

- A letter from John Brooke about King George III and the Royal Archives with photocopy of King George III's letter.

- Research notes by Gishford on French, Italian and German painters. His notes are titled 'J.L. David 1748-1825', 'Hamlet and Hair', 'Hamburg Kunsthalle' and 'Early Italian Painting, by Robert Oertel'. These are Gishford's notes about the painter Jacques-Louis David, the German Art Museum Kunsthalle and performances of 'Hamlet' in Edinburgh. His other notes on these pages are titled 'Painters ahead of their time'.

- Letters raising concerns with Anthony Gishford's publication 'Grand Operas': Inlcudes two letters from Patrick Carnegy regarding Gishford's publication of 'Grand Opera', and a letter from Philip L Forstall defending the Chicago Opera House from the claims made in Gishford's 'Grand Opera'.

- Handwritten copy of untitled poetry with corrections by the author.

- Handwritten copy of article 'Words and Music' by Anthony Gishford. This summarises Gishford's throughts about the difference between theatre and opera.
