Scrapbook containing, pasted in or loosely inserted, the dinner programmes, menus and seating plans for the Helbert, Wagg & Co. annual Christmas dinner for the years 1925 to 1937 and 1947, together with telegrams from those unable to attend. The programmes often contain humorous songs and sketches, gently lampooning staff, directors, competitors and the year's business. On occasion the menu is also a humorous reflection on events. Photographs exist for the 1926, 1927, 1928 and 1936 dinners. Memorabilia from the celebrations for Alfred Wagg's 70th and 75th birthdays, in 1947 and 1952, have also been collected.
Six leaves taken from another scrapbook bearing pasted letters and other items of a curious or humorous nature have been inserted loose.
The scrapbook also contains loosely inserted circular letters containing specimen signatures for 1914, 1921 (when Max Bonn joined the firm) and 1946, and the circular letter announcing the formation of a limited liability company in 1914.
