Administrative / Biographical History

This school, provided by the West Riding County Council, was an amalgamation of the formerly separate Boys Secondary School and Girls Secondary School. The schools were amalgamated in 1965, but the official opening did not take place until 24 June 1967. The school was superseded by the new Rossington Comprehensive School in 1967. For the surviving records of the girls school, see SR156.

Because the log book of the boys school continued in use as the log book of the combined school from 1965, all the records of the Boys School have been catalogued here.
