Scope and Content

Items relating to the Phillips sisters, Anna, Margaret and Adeline, of Waungorlech farm, and later Dolau farm near Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire. Also their Uncle, John Richards of Merthyr Fach Farm, Carmarthen, and a collection of his writings, including essays on religious and moral matters as well as poems and entries to local Eisteddfodau. Contains photographs, diaries and documents of the sisters’ rural life and later careers, including a visit by Margaret Phillips to the eighth International Congress of Genetics held in Stockholm, July 1948.
