Scope and Content

WILL AND CODICIL: Thomas Jones of Llanfair Grange, Llandovery, Clerk of the Peace and Clerk of the County Council, bequeathing all his incorporeal hereditaments, that is to say, Llanfair Grange, Fields called Ballroom Field, Cae Llanzreglius [sic] Cae Velive Caern, various other unnamed fields, a plantation, land and premises called Gilfach [situate near the Central Wales Railway] including Llanfair House, fields purchased from the Trustees of the Llwynghram Estate, and messuages, farms and lands called Hafodfach in the pa. of Myddfai, Nantyrhagfen and Pengaylan in the pa of Llandwgnt [sic], Beliame in the pa. of Llangadock Brynglas in the pa. of Llandiloyr Farm [sic] Blaenclamdd in the pa of Cerevil Gaie [sic] German Fynan in the pa of Llandilo-yr-fan in C~ Brecon and a house used as an office in the town of Llandovery called Gilvach together with town lands called Town Meadow and adjoining lands, one called Mill Field in the pa. of Llandrngat and the other called Gettyfelen in the pa. of Myddfai to various members of his family: Also bequeathing various sums of money and various household effects to family members.

Will dated: 2 June 1898.

Codicil dated: 9 June 1899.

Witnesses: J.P. Thomas and W.P. James clerks to Mr. Jones.
