This small collection relates to some of the property of Sir William Chichele Plowden (1832-1915) and Emily Frances Ann, Lady Plowden (1841-1915). Both died in 1915, and a selection of their property, including jewellery, paintings and drawings, silver, bronzes, and books were subsequently sold in a serious of auctions by their daughter, Margaret Annette Jane, Lady Vaux.
