The Parish of Alkerton is located in North Oxfordshire and united with Shenington in 1990 to form 'Shenington and Alkerton'. Since 1989 Alkerton has also been united with Horley, Horton and Hanwell
The records were originally deposited in the Bodleian Library in 1951, 1966, 1977 and 1980 by the incumbents of the parish. The material was transferred to the Oxfordshire Record Office. There was a further deposit of records in 1986 by Mrs Clifton Acc 2573. Catalogued by Alison Smith, August 2006.
