Scope and Content

The Board was set up in 1984 and included representatives from the departments of Architecture (Arts), Engineering (Science) and Building (Technology, UMIST) to promote matters of common interest (arhcitecture degrees had teaching input from Engineering and Building). It reported to Senate (as well as the UMIST Academic Board). It encouraged joint research and sponsored an annual lecture on the built environment. The Board was discharged in 1994. The series is complete.
