Scope and Content

The records of the Oxfordshire County Council Education Department mostly date from 1903 when the County Council took over the running of Oxfordshire Schools. The records of the corresponding Oxford City Schools can be found at OCA1/24. The Education Committee minutes 1903-1974 can be found at CC1/12 and the minutes from 1974 at CC2/6. Records of the School Survey conducted by Percy Elford from 1903 can be found at CC4.
