This is by far the largest section of
papers from the records of St. Martin.
They comprise several title deeds on
property owned by the Parish Trustees
(with some lease books), rentals,
minutes and accounts, legal papers, and
details of wills including bequests to
the parish.
Note that after the closure of the
church of All Saints and St. Martins,
any properties owned by the parish
charities there were transferred to this
parish. Earlier documents on these may
be found at PAR189 (for All Saints) and
PAR207 (for St. Martin's).
Some other papers relating to the parish
charities and its properties may be
found at PAR211/2/A1/1 and PAR211/4/F1/8.
Many of the medieval deeds in PAR211/13
were transcribed by H.E. Salter in an
appendix to his "The Churchwardens'
Accounts of St. Michael's Church,
Oxford" (Transactions of the Oxfordshire
Archaeological Society Vol. 78 [1933]),
pp.237-274. The catalogue notes the
numbers which Salter gave them; a full
concordance may be found in Appendix
III.
