Details given for Week-day schools consist of the number of schools taught by trained teachers and those by other teachers, total number of schools in the circuit, number of schools for boys, girls, infants and mixed, number of boys, girls and infants in attendance, average attendance, 'annual amount of childrens pence', salary of teaching staff and assistants, the total cost of the schools in the circuit and details of government grants.

For the Sabbath schools the details consist of the number of schools in the circuit, number of boys and girls in attendance, average attendance, number who also attend Day Schools, number of children in the Methodist Society or attending a Select Class, number of teachers, number of schools where children were regularly taken to chapel, and the total annual cost
