The treatise covers the history of the original Maes-yr-haf Chapel, Neath, its roots in a congregation meeting at Chwarelau-bach, near Melincryddan, the building of the new chapel in central Neath in 1772, its rebuilding in 1864, the extension in 1909, and the unification with Zoar in 1965-1966.
