The Bicester Red Cross Convalescent Hospital was located at Bicester Hall on the corner of Market Hill and Launton Road and is now Hometree House. The register covers the time the Hon Lettice Bowlby was Commandant, whilst other records in the collection belong to Dorothy Mountain. Dorothy was a member of the British Red Cross for 73 years and was both Assistant Commandant, and from 1950, Commandant. She also founded the Sunshine Club for 'old folks'.
