Dr John Henry Jones (1909-1985), of Aberystwyth, Cardiganshire, was Director of Education for Cardiganshire, 1944-1972. He studied Classics at the University College of North Wales, Bangor. He wrote articles on the subject of classical literature and translated works into Welsh including Homer's Odyssey and Aeschylus's Agamemnon.
