Scope and Content

This series consists of unpublished typescript manuscripts. It includes

- 'The Making of a Wizard'. Ten short stories for children titled: The Gulf of Living Flames; The Dragon and the Gryphon; The Rock Faces; The Five in the Plain; The Town of the Lion; The Stolen Village; The Enchanted Forest; The Black Elves of the Frozen Hills; Firedrake and Serpent King; Blind Boy's Mountain. Written in the fantasy genre.

- 'In Two Camps and Six Other Stories'. Short stories for children set in the United Kingdom during the Roman and Medieval period. Includes stories titled: In Two Camps; The Red Cloak; Sir Robert de Rodelent; Bells Over Blanchland; The Sculptor of Southwell; The Adventures of Anne. A seventh story 'The Grey Faced Sheep' was lost and never deposited. . Written in an historical fiction and fantasy genre.

-'The Years Between'. Semi-autobiographical novel set in the inter war period. She unsuccessfully attempted to get it published just prior to her death in 1984.

-'Retirement Roundabout: Journeyings in Old Age'. Biographical account of travels in Africa, India and Asia in the 1950's and 1960's. She unsuccessfully attempted to get it published just prior to her death in 1984.

-'What I Can Remember'. Biographical account, with particular emphasis on her career in teaching.

-Two poetry collections, titled 'Poems of Old Age' and 'From Beginning to End'
