Scope and Content

Merton is a village to the south-east of Bicester, on the edge of Otmoor. In 1977 it was united with Ambrosden and Piddington to form a new benefice.

The records of Merton have been deposited in three instalments, in 1978 (with the Bodleian Library), and in 1991 and 1994 with Oxfordshire Archives, with the respective Accession Numbers 3236 and 3893. Appendix I lists the contents of each accession; Appendix II is a concordance of old and new references.

Catalogued in June 1995 by Robin Darwall-Smith.
