Administrative / Biographical History
Robert Lamb Paterson, a graduate of Glasgow University, gained his medical qualifications MB ChB in 1927. He married Nessie Knight, who had starred on the Glasgow stage, and together they went out to South Africa and settled at Sulenkama, where Dr Paterson established a hospital. They had two children Stewart and Elspeth Jean. Money was raised for the hospital by the Nessie Knight Club.
