Administrative / Biographical History

The Inner Wheel was established in 1923 as an organisation for the wives and other womenfolk of Rotary Club members. The objects of the organisation are: (i) to promote friendship; (ii) to encourage the ideals of personal service and (iii) to foster international understanding.

Ammanford & Carmarthen Inner Wheel clubs, are members of District 15 of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in Great Britain & Ireland. This district covers the counties of Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire on the West coast of Wales, part of Powys in Mid Wales and across the South Wales counties to Gwent in the East.
