Administrative / Biographical History
Elizabeth Agnes Paterson was born on 2nd June 1923 in Glasgow. Her father Peter was a civil servant and they lived in Croftwood, Glasgow. She was an arts student at the University of Glasgow in the 1940s , where she took the following Classes: French, German, History 1940-1941; Higher French, Higher German, Ordinary Political Economy 1941-1942; Junior Honours French, Junior Honours German, Ordinary English 1942-1943; Senior Honours French, Senior Honours German 1943-1944. After graduating with an M.A. she became a civil servant , remaining at her home in Croftwood, Glasgow. In c1952-3 she worked as a University Assistant, before marrying Arthur W. Babister in c1953 when she moved to Churchill Drive, Glasgow. After his her career is unknown, however she remained at her marital address until at least 1995.
