Bedwas; Richard Williams of Gwrthonor Place, Baptist minister; Corenius Jones, The Pottery, builder; Lewis Lewis, Bedlwyn Cottages, gent; John Edwards, Penallta Ishaf, farmer - all of Gelligaer; and Thomas Edwards of Tredomaen (Tredomen), p. Llanfabon, farmer, to Thomas Davies of Cwmbrynar Cottage, relating to maintenance of two tombs in the burial ground.;
The history given by Llewelyn Jenkins includes the statement that in 1866 the Rev Richard Williams was requested by Mrs Amy Lewis of Gwrthonor Cottage to look over books and papers left after the death of her father Mr William Davies and that she had discovered an old manuscript book 'The Church Book Jany. 15th 1756'. Davieshad received this from either James or John Davies, his uncles, of Penygraig. The book was then in custody of writer and enabled Jenkins to make corrections to his history Hengoediana (details given). Jenkins also records the existence of a book in possession of Brother William Jones which commences 'Cofrestr o'r Aelodau perthyn(w)yd i Eglwys Crist ar Gefn Hehgoed, 1818'. William Jones Secretary was chosen as such June 1849. This is continued by this book (DBAP53/2)
