Scope and Content

The club was established in 1869, and originally met at the Roebuck Hotel in Market Street.

The records in this collection are mainly minute books of meetings of various bodies, but there are also a few accounts. The material was transferred from the Centre for Oxfordshire Studies as Acc 3178 in November 1990, where it had been given catalogue reference 'Conservative I-VII'. Further records were deposited as part of Acc 6671 in June 2018.

Catalogued by Mark Priddey, August 1994 with additions by Richard Allen in May 2019.
