EVIDENCE: Witnesses in the case of the London and North Western Railway v. the Assessment Committee of the Holyhead Union, viz:-
(i) James E. Hughes, clerk to the Guardians and Assessment Committee who states that on 1 June, 1880 it was resolved that the surveying and re-valuing of all railway property in pa's of Holyhead, Llanynghenedl, Llanfihengel yn Nhowyn, Llechylched, Llanfaelog, Llangwyfan and Aberffraw, be undertaken. Also mentions that for the above pa's, apart from Holyhead, it was resolved on 22 February, 1881 to make a new valuation of all valuable hereditaments and that on 5 April, 1881 these new valuation lists were confirmed and signed.
(ii) Richard Jones, Cerrig Myna, parish Aberffraw, Assisstant Overseer and Collector of rates.
(iii) John Roberts, assistant overseer and collector of rates parish Llangwyfan.
(iv) John Wuthin Huws, Assistant overseer and collector of rates, parish Llanfaelog.
(v) William Owen, Assistant overseer and collector of rates, parish Llechylched.
(vi) Owen Parry of Brynprydder, assistant overseer and collector of rates, parish Llanfihengelynnhowyn.
(vii) John Thomas, Assistant overseer and collector of poor rates, parish Llenynghenedl.
(viii) Robert Pierce of Criglus, one of the overseers and the collector of rates parish Llanfairneubwll.
(ix) Edward Morris, Collector of rates parish Holyhead.
