Scope and Content

This series consists of several loose items relating to the early activities of Stockport Great Moor Co-operative Society. The records include a petition relating to the store closure time (undated),2 x lists of members (9 Nov 1839, 21 Dec 1839), 2 x adverts for Horniman's Ceylon Tea (undated), an envelope addressed to the Secretary of the Society (10 Jan 1888), a copy of the 1876 Industrial and Provident Societies Act, and a poster advertising the journal Spirit of the Age (1848).
