St Peter-in-the-East Parochial school was built in Rose Lane in 1839. Additions had been made by 1846 which included an infant classroom. The boys part of the school was closed in 1909 but the girls school continued as a mixed school until 1923. At this point the infants were transferred to Holywell and the school became a Senior Girls School. See S213/2 for records of this school.
