Eighteen letters, 1888-1907, to Lewis Jones Roberts, HMI and musician, relating mainly to aspects of education in Wales and to personal matters, the principal correspondents being Professor T. F. Tout (4) 1888-1906, Sir O. M. Edwards (1) 1889, Sir John Morris-Jones (1) 1903, and Roberts's wife, Mary Noel (2) 1889; together with cuttings, 1897, referring to the appointment of an Englishman as Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales (ff. 44-5) and an address by Roberts, 'Who the Welsh are' (ff. 46-70).
