Alec Guinness kept autograph diaries, sporadically from 1945 up until his death. From 1962-2000 he filled in a short entry in a pocket diary for nearly every single day. He also kept journals which were filled in less often but often consisted of longer entries with anecdotes and memories recorded. He also kept diaires to keep track of his finances and appointments.
