Administrative / Biographical History

James Bewick was born on 24 June 1903 , the son of a commercial clerk. He matriculated at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 1922 . As was common practice at the time, he attended his classes in Natural Philosophy, Mathematics and Motive Power at the Royal Technical College, Glasgow. The College was affiliated with the University and as a result, students of the College were able to matriculate and graduate with degrees from the University. He graduated BSc from the University of Glasgow in 1926 .

James Bewick died at Eaglesham, East Renfrewshire, Scotland on 27 May 1980 .
