Scope and Content

This school was built on a lot land bequeathed by James Minn in about 1851 and endowed by the Minn and Webster charities. It had 45 pupils in 1871 and an average attendance of 77 in 1906. The senior pupils moved to Fritwell School in 1930. The school became 'controlled' in 1951. Please see CC4/185 for other records of this school.

The material was deposited as Acc 237 November 1953 and originally catalogued as Misc Dew V. Further material was deposited as Acc 327 in March 1958 and as part of Acc 4119 in August 1996 and also transferred from the Oxfordshire Education Department to the Oxfordshire History Centre. Recatalogued by Alison Smith in August 2013 and November 2015.
