Scope and Content

The Oxford Preservation Trust was founded in 1927; it was the result of several meetings organised by H A L Fisher, then Warden of New College, and Sir Michael Sadler, then Master of University College, together with various other like-minded individuals. The aim was to initiate a body to 'so guide the development of Oxford, as to preserve and increase the beauty of the City and its surrounding neighbourhood'.

The catalogue is in four sections:

O21/1 - Organisation

O21/2 - Individuals' Papers

O21/3 - Committees

O21/4 - Property

The records were deposited in 2003 under Accession number 5109. A further deposit was received in 2017 under Accession number 6626. Catalogued by Linda Haynes, 2018
