Additional Lucy Williams Papers

This deposit contains a manuscript entitled Life and History of Owen Hughes and Margaret his wife of Beaumaris. John Somers Cocks states that the document consists of direct or indirect criticisms of the couple and gives a detailed account of a murder at the house of Ann Goodman in 1664 and subsequent attempts to cover it up. Also in the collection are handwritten notes by Lucy Williams about the document; typed notes by John Somers Cocks about the document; a photograph of Lucy Williams; a folder containing a handwriiten family tree and sketches by her of the Collegiate Church and market place in Holyhead and a newspaper article following her death.
