The performances are by the Ormescliffe Dramatic Society, which was an organisation formed by evacuated Inland Revenue employees and was in existence 1940-1948 and by the Inland Revenue Social Club Operatic Singers. The Ormescliffe Hotel had been requisitioned for use by the Inland Revenue and was used as a recreation centre for employees and their families.
