Administrative / Biographical History

Margaret Gordon Lowthian was born in 1906  . She studied at the University of Glasgow , Scotland, between 1923 and 1926  , when she gained her Master of Arts degree. In her first year she passed subjects including English, French and Mathematics, she gained passes in her second year in English, History and Logic & Metaphysics, and passes in her third year in Political Economy and English with British History. She gained a first class certificate in British History for those studying English at Honours level in session 1925-6. After graduating she went on to become a teacher.
