The Rev. Eiflyn Peris Owen was a Presbyterian minister, serving at Tregynon, Montgomeryshire, 1959-1962. He then moved to Aberfan, Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan and was heavily involved in the aftermath of the Aberfan disaster in 1966, which killed 144 people, and in the creation of the Aberfan Disaster Fund. He later moved to Treorchy, Glamorgan, and then Melbourne, Australia.
