Manuscript copy of the MA thesis of Harold Kay, 'The marcher lordships of Wales in the fourteenth century (to 1360) with special reference to the periods of Despenser and Mortimer ascendancy (1317-1330)' (University of Manchester, 1913), together with preparatory notes and other research papers, including notes from secondary sources, transcripts from calendars of manuscript material in the Public Record Office, indices to places and persons in the notes, a copy of a large-scale map 'South Wales and the border in the fourteenth century' compiled by William Rees and small sketch maps of individual lordships prepared by Kay.
