Administrative / Biographical History
David Emery originated from Ayr in Scotland. It appears that around 1838 he attended the classes of Dr John Burns (1774-1850), Regius Professor of Surgery at the University of Glasgow from 1815-1850. Prior to this, David had already been making case notes at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
