John Nairn Marshall was born around c 1860 . He was a student at the University of Glasgow in the 1880s , where he studied medicine. In the academic session 1880-1881 he studied Practical Medicine, Pathology and Clinical Medicine. The following year, 1881-1882 he took Medicine, Surgery and Midwifery.
