Administrative / Biographical History

Gabriel (b 1932) and Joyce Kolko (fl 1955 - 1960)

Gabriel Kolko was born in Paterson, New Jersey, in the United States. He was educated at Kent State and Wisconsin Universities. In 1955 he married Joyce Manning. He was Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania from 1964 until 1968, when he became Professor at the State University of New York, Buffalo. In 1970 he moved to York University at Toronto, Canada. In 1986 he became Emeritus Distinguished Research Professor of History. Kolko was also Fellow with the Guggenheim Foundation (1966 - 1967), the American Council Learned Society (1971 - 1972).
